Production
Production
In Empire Strike, each city produces a certain amount of resources, depending on its development and population. These resources are used for many different things and help boost each player's empire, as well as its value.
Resources
Nineteen different resources are managed in this game. Each resource (with the exception of Turns) has an exchange value in gold (nominal value) which is used to calculate the value of your empire, and when deciding what to do, each resource serves a certain purpose. You can study these values in the Trade section.
Turns: the most basic resource. Without turns nothing can be done in Empire Strike as everything from founding, moving troops, buying troops, trading, attacking, casting magics, costs turns. Each step of the server day (22hs. of Spain) is granted to each player 100 turns (minimum) plus the extra turns that produce their cities and heroes.
Gold: is the second most basic resource of the game. Gold is needed to buy troops, to construct buildings, to found, etc.. But getting it is easier than getting turns. Buildings like the Market, Black Market and Gold Mine produce gold, Trade Routes (if you are in clan) produce gold, winning attacks (made and received) generates gold for your empire, successful Quests also generate gold. Even if you play in clan, other players can pass you gold, or you can cast transmutations.
Mana: is used to cast global magics with a Hero Mage if you are in a clan. And it can also be used so that in combat, the Hero Mage can cast more of his magics. The Dwarf Race cannot have Mages, but they are not affected by the Global magics cast by Mages. It also serves to accumulate points in your empire as mana has a nominal value.
Karma: almost the same as Mana, only that it is used with Hero Priest and affects all races.
Food: the functions are mainly 2: the production of food influences the amount of troops that a city can contain without being in danger of falling into the Famine Adversity and it is the necessary resource to build Sawmill and Market. It is also necessary to found new cities.
Water: like Food, influences the maximum number of troops that can fit in a city without falling into adversity and is the necessary resource for building Crops and founding cities.
Iron: is the resource necessary for the construction of the Barracks and Workshop. It is one of the few resources whose purchase value can fall below the nominal value, so it is ideal for raising points (as long as it is purchased in sufficient quantities at the minimum value).
Tools: is a resource derived from Iron and is one of the most important. It is necessary for the construction of Iron Forge, Mithril Forge, Jewelry, Quarry, Deposits and Moat. Necessary for founding cities.
Weapons: is a resource derived from Iron and Tools and is used in Castle and Armory construction, as well as in the case of Dark Elves or Orcs, to give them damage (and conquest) bonus when attacking.
Stone: another fairly basic resource. It is used to build Monuments, Well and Crystal Chamber. Also necessary to found new cities.
Blocks: is a resource derived from Stone and is used for the construction of Walls, Aqueduct and Colosseum.
Wood: is certainly after gold and turns the most basic resource of this game. It is used for the construction of Gold, Silver, Iron, Stone and Mithril Mines and in the construction of Carpentry. Needed in large quantities for founding cities.
Boards: resource derived from wood produced by the Carpentry. Used for the construction of Warehouse, Brothels and School.
Mithril: is used in the construction of Temples and Shrines.
Crystal: needed in the construction of Magic Tower.
Silver: used in the construction of University.
Relics: not used for construction. Their use is mainly to trade and obtain gold.
Gems: like relics, they are not used for construction. They are used for trading.
Jewels: are used to build Black Market and to trade.
Other Uses
There are several of these resources that can be ordered to try to recruit captured heroes from other empires. The most common are Gems, Relics, Jewels, Mithril, Crystal and Silver.
Besides, with the exception of Turns, Gold, Karma and Mana, all resources can be exchanged in the Trade part for gold and then for some other resource. It must be taken into account, when using this option, that prices vary daily and it may not be beneficial to exchange today, but it may be beneficial tomorrow.
If you are in a clan and you exceed 500 points, other empires of the clan can pass us resources (or population), if we require it.
