Quests
Once you acquire a Hero, you can do three things with him: Attack (for which you need to pass troops to him, see FAQ), perform Adventures or send him to perform Quests.
Quests are small missions that the hero will undertake to gain experience, gold and resources for your empire, if successful. Each Quest comes with a small story that tells us the adventures in which our hero will be involved.
Difficulty
Quests have two different types of difficulties. The easiest to evaluate is the difficulty by levels. In Empire Strike there are four levels of Quests.
- Easy: the gold obtained is in general little, between 2.000 and 12.000 approximately. Additionally, in some cases you can also obtain small amounts of resources such as Gems, Jewels and Relics. To a lesser extent and depending on the race, you can get Weapons, Iron, Wood, Boards, etc. These quests are the lowest level quests and therefore are the first to perform when you just start a game.
- Normal: the amount of gold you get is of course, higher, between 6,000 and 20,000 approximately. You can also occasionally obtain other resources. It is not recommended to do these quests with a hero below level 6, as they will not yield, but from level 7 onwards it is generally more profitable to do these quests instead of those of Easy level, although you can still fail several of them.
- Difficult: appreciable amount of gold, let's say between 16,000 and 30,000 although it can be more, you don't get so many extra resources, more than maybe Gems, Jewels and Relics. It is not recommended to do these quests with a hero lower than level 14, in fact, not even a very high level hero will ensure to win all the quests in Hard mode. Even a hero of level 20 or higher may fail 2 out of 10 of these quests.
- Expert: these are the most difficult and obviously also the most rewarding. They exceed 45,000 gold in some cases and also when they give other resources they give interesting amounts. These quests are not recommended if you have a hero level lower than 20.
The second type of difficulty is governed by probabilities: every time you perform a Quest with your hero, a "Difficulty Percentage" appears below the Quest image. This also affects the chance that our hero will win or not in that quest.
In general, as the level of the Quest increases, the difficulty percentage increases, although in some cases we can observe that in Easy Quests a higher percentage may appear than in some Normal Quests, which may cause them to fail very often. This will depend on chance.
