History

Balrogs are described as huge, menacing humanoids, with the ability to control fire, darkness and shadows. They induced terror in enemies and allies alike, and the mere mention of their name made the bravest warriors fearful. They were usually armed with multi-pronged igneous whips, and sometimes with huge swords of fire. They are formidable fighters who usually leave no survivors. Like most orcs, they fear the cold, because an icy attack can neutralize their powerful fiery embraces.
