History

Sappers are military engineers, experts in various fields, such as the manufacture of explosives and siege machinery and the command of artillery batteries. Their particular field is the opening of tunnels, either to undermine walls or to enter fortifications. Dwarven Sappers are in great demand in the armies of all nations, and some very successful Dwarven mercenary companies consist solely of Sappers. Sappers who are members of a Dwarven army always belong to the Dwarven Engineers Guild.
