History
Illusionists are a subgroup of Sorcerers, specializing in confusion magic that tricks the senses. Aside from the type of magic they employ, there aren't many differences between Illusionists and normal Sorcerers... at least, that's what people think.
Illusionists create and control illusions. They can only maintain one illusion at a time, but it can be multiple, such as a group of people or monsters, a series of cloned images, or even a village.
An illusion can act as its creator wishes, and cause any psychological effect. The sight of a specter can cause terror. They can cause illusions to react to projectile fire, pretending to be wounded for real, but they cannot be wounded in any way. Illusions vanish if attacked in melee combat, if the Illusionist projects another illusion (Vulgar Magic does not count), and by means of a Destroy Illusions spell.
