History

Dwarves fallen from grace, rejected in love or any other humiliation, abandon traditional dwarven society and seek the sweet release of death. They hunt the most dangerous monsters in the hope of finding a glorious end. Most die quickly, but the few who survive become members of the strange cult of matatrolls.

It is easy to recognize the Matatrolls Dwarves by their spiky, orange-tinted crests of hair and the numerous freakish tattoos that cover their bodies. They are also fond of ostentatious beadwork, exotic jewelry such as earrings and nose rings. Their courage does not allow them to flee from battle where they know how to wield their sharp ornate axes.
